The goal of Kenneth M. Kavanaugh Golf Course Design is to design classic golf courses, which will challenge the low handicap golfer, and at the same time, offer an enjoyable golfing experience to the average player. We strive to be innovative, giving each course its own distinct personality, while still embracing the traditional values that characterize classic golf courses.

"I do not have a general style, I don't ever want to be known for a certain recognizable style of course. Rather, the style is unique to a particular project. The marriage of Client criteria and site characteristics always yields a unique golf course. Within this framework, I favor golf in a natural setting — where memorability is achieved by design variety — in terms of playability, landform, color and texture."
