Jim Purdy earned a journalism degree from the University of Arizona and worked for the Arizona Daily Star from 1994-2001. While there, he served as pop and rock music critic, covering musical acts from Aerosmith to U2 for Tucson's local morning newspaper. He has lead marketing campaigns for Beaudry RV and MasterPieces Puzzle Company, promoting, respectively, recreational vehicles and jigsaw puzzles and games. He is vice-president of the Ted Purdy Foundation, which organizes the wildly popular Pebble Tec Charity Golf Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz. He is also Web master for www.purds.com and content provider for www.tedpurdyfoundation.org. A life-long avid golfer, you can always find Jim rooting for his little brother, Ted Purdy, on the PGA Tour.
